Wilson Contreras Signs 5 Year 87.5 Million Dollar Deal With Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals have found their replacement for Yadier Molina. Wilson Contreras and the Cardinals have agreed on a 5 year 87.5 million dollar deal. The former Cub is one of the best catchers but he has taken some criticism in the past for poor pitch calling. I think that the Cardinals made a smart move by not only finding Molina‘s replacement, but also stealing him from the rival Cubs. Contreras was only offered one other contract, as the Cubs offered Contreras a quality contract. Contreras is the Cardinals only free agent pickup as of right now.
