As we enter week 17 of the NFL season, we are getting down to crunch-time in the regular season. Both divisions number 1 seed's can officially be locked up, along with other teams clinching the playoffs, with some of them being able to secure their division. So now, let me share all of the possibilities that teams could clinch the playoffs.
AFC Clinched:
Bills - AFC East Title
Chiefs - AFC West Title
Ravens - Playoffs Spot
Bengals - Playoff Spot
Chargers - Playoff Spot
AFC Scenario's:
Bills:
The Bills can lock up the number one seed in the AFC, with a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on 'Monday Night Football', and they need the Chiefs to lose at home to the Broncos.
Bengals:
The Bengals can clinch the AFC North with a win against the Bills on 'MNF' and a Baltimore loss or tie on 'Sunday Night Football' when they take on the Steelers. If the Ravens do end up losing, the Bengals will still win the North with a tie against Buffalo.
Dolphins:
The Miami Dolphins need a win in New England and a Jets loss when they play the Seahawks to make the playoffs. They could also reserve their spot in the playoffs if the Jets lose, the Steelers lose or tie to the Ravens on 'SNF', then the Dolphins would only need a tie to get in.
NFC Clinched:
Vikings - NFC North Title
49ers - NFC West Title
Eagles - Playoff Spot
Cowboys - Playoff Spot
Giants:
The Giants could clinch the playoffs with 7 different possibilities. One is for them to simply win against the Colts, or if they tie, they would need a Seattle loss or tie and a Commanders loss and tie. Also, if they tie, another way they could still get in is if either the Seahawks and Lions lose or tie, or the Commanders, Packers and Lions all lose or tie. If the Giants lose, they need either a Washington loss, or a Lions loss and the Packers to loss or tie. Finally, no matter what happens in the Giants game, if the Commanders, Lions and Packers all lose, the Giants will have made the playoffs.
Eagles:
The Eagles can clinch their division with a win or a tie against the Saints, or a Dallas loss or tie. The Eagles could also lock up the number 1 seed in the NFC playoffs with a win, or a tie and a Minnesota Vikings loss or tie, or if Dallas and the 49ers lose or tie, and if the Vikings lose.
Buccaneers:
The Buccaneers can lock up the lowly NFC South with a victory over the Carolina Panthers back home in Tampa Bay.
Commanders:
The Washington Commanders come into week 17 with a shot to be a sure lock for the playoffs if 4 things happen. They have to win when they play the Browns, have the Seahawks lose against the Jets, watch the Lions lose to the Bears, and hope that the Packers lose or tie when they take on the Vikings.
